Big Orange Victory!

The Vols posted a great victory against the Wolfpack.  We watched the Gators play on Saturday, and they are certainly vulnerable.  I'm ready to see the Orange Pants continue to pace the sidelines of Neyland Stadium and other SEC venues.  Go Big Orange!  Vol for life!!

It's Time!

It's hard to believe, but it's football time in Tennessee!  The Big Orange take on NC State tonight in the Georgia Dome.  This is a make or break year for Coach Dooley.  As for me, I love the Orange Pants and want them to continue to roam the sidelines for a long time.  We have talent, and if we can make it without any injuries, we can have a great season.  I want to see the VOLS win, and win big!  Go Big Orange!

It's a Beautiful Day!

Today, I decided to work from home, and I discovered at lunch it is stunningly beautiful outside.  It is clear blue sky, light breeze and low humidity.  We better enjoy it while we can because it is supposed to be 100 degrees by Friday.  So I'm cutting out of work, and I'm going to enjoy the afternoon with my Mexican kids.  Gaby goes home after a ten month exchange here in Tennessee, and we are going to miss her.  Her sister, Elly, from South Korea went home last week.  We got to Skype last night, and that was great.  Gaby's brother Jose is here visiting and he goes home at the end of the week.  We won't have an empty house though because Linus is coming tomorrow for a month visit.  Life is full, and God is good.

Long lost friends

This weekend, I had a visit from a long, lost friend.  We were best buddies in high school.  She was dating her guy, and I was dating Joe.  We both got married, and Joe and I left for Knoxville in 1986.  Her life took a different path, but one rich with experience, heartache and love.  We kept in contact to some extent, but reconnected on guess what?! Facebook.  So we've chatted, and I've kept up with her.  She knew I had become a Beagle mom although she did not learn the extent of the brood and their reign over our lives until this weekend.  Her life has been good too, but sometimes, it is hard to see the riches in your life when the bad parts weigh heavy.  I think we are all blessed in so many ways, and I hope she came away from this weekend knowing she is loved, she is special and she has experienced life to the fullest.

It has been a while

I haven't blogged in a while but I hope to change that fact this year. Life is good, and we have the most amazing girls, Elly and Gaby.  I sent them off to Hawaii early Saturday, and I want them to have the time of their lives. I am adjusting to a lot of things, but I know that I have a wonderful life, full of promises and expectations. Life is good.
